Information about registration and fees

Registration is now available on-line. Fees for the Symposium are as follows:

You are welcome to join the Consortium to enjoy the Consortium member rate by completing and returning a membership application form. Apply now for 2004 and be entitled to this special rate.

Conditions governing registrations and cancellations

• As there is a limited number of places available for both the plenary and panels, registrations will be processed on a first-paid-first-served basis.
• All fees must be paid in Hong Kong currency and made payable to "The Hong Kong Web Symposium Consortium Ltd".
• A registration form must be followed/accompanied by payment within 7 days.
• A registration may be transferred to another person but the Conference Secretariat must be notified in advance in writing stating the person's name, affiliation and email address so that the attendance record can be amended.
• Cancellations received in writing before 17 November 2003 will be entitled to a 50% refund.
• A refund of 70% of the fee paid will be made to registrants in the event of necessary cancellation of the Symposium owing to Typhoon Signal No. 8 (or above)/Black Rainstorm Warning being in force at the time of the event.
• No refund will be given for cancellations received after 17 November 2003.
• No attendance certificates will be issued - only receipts for payment.

[1] This rate applies also to staff of organisations [currently, OUHK, SPACE, British Council, HKU Library, HK Observatory and VTC] which have joined the Consortium as a Corporate member, WCET and HKITF members and ICCE delegates.

The Sym9 Venue

The Symposium will be held on Saturday 6 December 2003 at the St. Paul's Convent School, 140 Leighton Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. If you are travelling by public transport, the most convenient way of getting there is to use the MTR and get off at Causeway Bay Station (Island Line). Leave the station via Exit 'F', walk East, following the tram-line (Hennessy Rd/Yee Wo St) until you reach the Regal Hong Kong Hotel. Continue around the corner and you will see the School across the road. Walk across the pedestrian footbridge traversing Leighton Road to reach the School.

When the results of your search appear, click the relevant link and a map will be generated showing the desired area.
